Valentine’s Day can make the perfect excuse for putting on the romantic look without feeling too cheesy about it. It’s time to take all of your heart-shaped things out of your closet, including red or pink sweaters. There are so many looks that could easily up your makeup game on Valentine’s Day, and make you feel special (even when you’re single!). For this article, I chose my three favorites looks here for you to try – with an easy step by step guide.
But first of all – before applying your makeup, always cleanse your skin and moisturize it. It’s super important and easy to skip and forget.

First Look – Natural Glow For A Casual Date
Level: Beginners
Eyes: Apply eyelid primer (I used Urban Decay)
Apply cream shimmery eye shadow in the inner corner of each eye, bronze eyeshadow on lid and crease (Urban Decay Naked) and blend well! apply mascara, NYX concealer under the eyes, fill in brows with a brow pencil (Kiko).
Face: apply foundation mixed with a liquid highlighter with a buffing or foundation brush, powder in dabbing motions.
Apply contour powder under cheekbones and blend well, add blush, highlighter on the cheekbones (Illamasqua cream highlighter).
Lips: line your lips with a lip pencil in a brown nude color, add nude lipstick and optionally gloss (NYX Lip Cream, Cannes).
Hair: a high sleek ponytail. Just curl the ponytail, in small sections, tease for added volume. Use one bunch of hair to wrap around the hair tie and pin.
Second Look – Classic Hollywood Glamour For Dinner Date
Level: Mediators
Eyes: use eyelid primer, use dark brown shadow and swipe in the crease and blend, use gold color on the eyelid and lighter color in the inner corner. fill in your eyebrows with a pencil.
Eyeliner: dip your brush in gel eyeliner (I used Illamasqua) and create a line across your lid, as close as you can to your lash line, you can do that by connecting small lines together if it’s easier. and then do your flick, make sure both eyes are fairly even.
Add mascara and add a brown liner under your lower lid, as close as you can to the eyelashes, this will intensify the look.
Face: apply medium coverage foundation ( I used e.l.f), powder, add powder contour (I used Anastasia Beverly Hills), highlight your cheekbones and brow bones, bridge of your nose and cupid bow (I used revolution).
Lips: line your lips with red lip liner, add red lipstick (I used NYX, Blood Love) and you’re good to go!
Hair: curl all your hair in one direction and bring it all to one side, add some spray and its done!
Final Look – Oh, I love Romantic Pinks, For Valentine’s Day
Level: Mediators
Eyes: primer, use a dusky pink on the crease and blend, on the eyelid I used a pinky gold shadow (Naked 3 palette) and light gold in the inner corners.
Apply eyeliner.
Brows: fill in with a pencil (I used Kiko).
add mascara and line lower lid with the same eye shadow you used for the crease, add black liner pencil in the water line.
Face: apply foundation, powder, contour powder, blush (blend well) and highlight cheekbones, bridge of the nose(lightly), brow bones and cupid bow.
Lips: line your lips with a pink pencil (Kiko) and use dusky pink lipstick (NYX Lip Lingerie).
Hair: curl your hair, pick up hair from your temples up into a high little ponytail.
